DAKHLA ULTIMATE SAHARIAN TRAIL REGULATION
ARTICLE 1 : ORGANISATION
Ultimate Event Organisation is the administrative and technical organizer of the Dakhla Ultimate Saharian Trail wich will take place in Dakhla, Southern Morocco,in November 2016
ARTICLE 2 : CONCEPT
3 foot races in 3 stages (distance around 12, 18 or 31 miles, so 37, 55 or 93 miles in total). Individual race with two categories : woman and man and several ranks : 1st scratch M/W ; Seniors, Master 1, Master 2 and Master 3.
The foot race will run in food self-sufficiency. Only water distribution points will be supplied by the organization during the race. Participants will sleep in bivouac under tents. The organisation will provide participants with dinner and breakfast every day.
ARTICLE 3 : GENERAL CONDITIONS
Participants agree to race with full knowledge of the present regulation.
Participants accept the terms and conditions as defined by the organization without any restrictions.
Participants must be over 18-year-old and provide a medical certificate, dating less than 2 months before the beginning of the race, certifying their ability to participate to Ultimate Trail.
They also must hold a valid passport/visa (see Morocco Ambassy website).
Participants shall fulfill a detailled medical file on their medical status (medical history, medical chronic treatments, allergies….).
ARTICLE 4 : REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
Registration fees total a net amount of 980 Euros, excluding transportation and shall be paid before August 30th, 2016.
Entry fees total a net amount of 300 Euros and shall be enclosed with Registration Form.
Registration fees include: airport transfers, hotel and bivouac accommodation (two nights each), dinner, breakfast, water distribution throughout the race, insurance, finisher T-shirt, medical assistance.
Participants will be welcome by UEO on November 5th, 2016 at their arrival on the ROYAL AIR MAROC flight via Casablanca et Dakhla Airport.

ARTICLE 6 : CATEGORIES OF COMPETITORS AND PRIZES
Scratch men and women on the two distances and rewards M1/M2/M3
Financial Reward :
Scratch men/women for 93 miles race :
1st place prize : 3000 euros
2nd place prize: 2000 euros
3rd place prize : 1000 euros
In additions, the first three winners will be able to participate to the Edition 2017 DUST Ultimate Trail race with accommodation and transportation free of charge (package value: 1500 euros)
4th and 5th winners will be able to participate to Edition 2017 DUST Ultimate Trail race with accommodation free of charge (package value : 980 euros).
Scratch men/women for 55 miles race
1st place prize : 2000 euros
2nd place prize : 1000 euros
3rd place prize : 500 euros
In addition, the first three winners will be able to participate to the Edition 2017 DUST Ultimate Trail race with accommodation and transportation free of charge (package value: 1500 euros)
4th and 5th winners will be able to participate to Edition 2017 DUST Ultimate Trail race with accommodation free of charge (package value : 980 euros).
Equipment reward to the first M1 M/W; M2 M/W; M3 M/W.
All participants will receive a finisher T-shirt if they run the entire race.
ARTICLE 7 : TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES
All mandatory security and survival items will be checked on the first day of the race. Any missing item will be penalized and participants may be disaqualified by the organization.
At the starting line of each stage, participants will be randomly chosen to have their mandatory equipment checked.
ARTICLE 8 : SPACES RESERVED FOR ORGANISATION'S PARTNERS / INDIVIDUAL SPONSORS
Logos of individual sponsors can be displayed on the entire short or the tights.
The race t-shirt and the cap should be free of sponsor endorsment.
Organisation’s partner logos should be visibly placed on the front and the back of the racer bib.
ARTICLE 9 : STAGES AND CLOSING TIME
Each race start for all three stages will be in a group format.
Schedule : the start of the race for each stage will be held in the morning.
Closing time : 12 miles/ 5 hours ; 18 miles/ 7 hours ; 31 miles/ 10 hours.
Going over the time limits mentionned above will trigger the repatriation of the participants to the finish line by the organization.
ARTICLE 10 : PROVISIONNING
Participants are responsible for their running food and their lunch for the entirety of the race, as well as their meal should amount to a minimum of 1500 calories per day.
The organization will distribute water during the race. A total of nine liters per day will be supplied by the organization to each participant.
ARTICLE 11 : RANKING
Each competitor’s time will be recorded in hours, minutes and seconds.
Ranking scratch Women : 93/55/37 miles
Ranking scratch men: 93/55/37 miles
Ranking Seniors: 93/55/37 miles
Ranking M1 M/W: 93/55/37 miles
Ranking M2 M/W: 93/55/37 miles
Ranking M3 M/W: 93/55/37 miles
ARTICLE 12 : ASSISTANCE
Any assistance other than the one provided by the organization will not be allowed during the race.
ARTICLE 13 : MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
AMS staff will ensure medical assistance throughout the race and at the bivouac.
All medical decision shall be respected and cannot be questioned by participants.
ARTICLE 14 : WITHDRAWAL / DEADLINE OVERTAKING
Voluntary withdrawal will involve the repatriation of participants to the bivouac. Upon withdrawal, a participant will be systematically ranked behind the last participant of the general scratch. This participant will be authorized to continue the race and start the next stage per discretion of the organization. In this case, the participant will receive a two-hour penalty after the time of the last competitor.
Medical withdrawals will involve the repatriation of participants to the bivouac. After medical withdrawal, a participant may be authorized to continue the race, if health permits. The participant will receive a one-hour penalty after the time of the last competitor.
Going over the time limits does not disqualify participants. In this case, a participant will be authorized to continue the race, if health permits. The participant will receive a two-hour penalty after the time of the last competitor.
ARTICLE 15 : INSURANCE POLICY
An insurance policy will be contracted by and between the organization and the insurance company, AXA ASSURANCE.
Participants are allowed to contract their own insurance.
ARTICLE 16 : ROUTE / ROAD BOOK AND MARKINGS
For security reasons, the routes will be marked with visible markers and flags, approximately every 500 meters.
A roadmap will be provided to each participant during the administrative checks and shall be carried by participants at all times during the race.
ARTICLE 17 : COMPULSORY AND RECOMENDED EQUIPMENT
Mandatory Equipment :
Backpack containing a minimum of 2 liters of water
Food for the race: a minimum of 1500 calories per day, amounting to a minimum of 4500 calories for 3 days.

ARTICLE 18 : PENALTIES
Behavior : Unsportsmanlike conduct will lead to a penalty ranging from a one-hour penalty to disqualification of the competitor from the race. Penalty decision will be collectively taken by a board made of 2 organizers, 1 doctor, and 2 participants.
Unsportsmanlike conduct examples: lack of respect to the organization, to other participants, and/or to the environment, and any situations which may damage the brand of the event or its moral ethics.
External assistance : all assistance provided by an entity external to the organization will lead to disqualification.
Missing check points represent a 1 hour 30 penalty
Missing one mandatory item represent a 1 hour-penalty
ARTICLE 19 : PERSONALITY RIGHTS
Participants allow the organization to freely use photos / videos / images taken throughout the event for promotional purpose.
ARTICLE 20 : CLAIMS
All claims shall be expressed within one hour after the end of the day race in writing to the organization.
Ultimate Event Organisation reserves the right to amend the present regulation, in particular in case of force majeur (wheather, geo-political events, …) or any other reasons beyond its control.
